It does exactly what it's supposed to do. A polarizer is amazing for landscapes, the way it can balance bright sky and darker, shadowy ground. In this particular size, I bought it for my zoom lens, where it's slightly less useful, but still handy. All in all, a polarizer is a handy tool to have, and Tiffen is a great company to buy from. This polarizer is adjustable, in that you can rotate the outer ring of the filter to adjust how much blue light reaches the camera, and it still turns smooth as butter as it did out of the box. I've got another Tiffen polarizer in a smaller diameter that I actually got used, and it too turns smooth and quiet after many years of service.
