Although a bit dated, this is a great guide to effectiveness as a knowledge worker as Drucker calls executives.
Effectiveness is learned. There is hope he says. 😀 and improving effectiveness of knowledge workers is our best hope to maintaining a high standard of living. There is no hiding or ignoring this.
There is some practical guidance around time management. Some interesting anecdotes about Vail from the Bell company and his decision to embrace customer service and government regulation as the only alternative to nationalization. They certainly have lost this vision.
This is likely a book I will re-read.
