Classic Expose of Tyranny
on November 2, 2017
This is Orwell's classic send-up of Tyranny. At the time he wrote it, it was about what was going on in the Soviet Union. It was suppressed for a time since the Soviets were allies in WWII, but then became the basis for Orwell's fame before he wrote 1984 - a darker treatment of the same subject.
Today, it reads like a unique fable about how Tyranny arises and evolves. Perhaps it could be re-titled "How I Went to Washington and Drained The Swamp". Just an idea.
