and the GRAMMAR CRAMMER (by Turkel & Peterson) is the same number of pages, larger print, and often gives the answer I can't find or quite understand in THE ELEMENTS OF STYLE.

i learned how to write from Strunk & white. Received the illustrated version as a gift couple of years back. It makes a perfect gift to those who appreciate the written word.

The third edition works just fine. If you already have the third edition, you're OK. IF you don't have any edition, get this book. It's a great reference to have...

A quick read providing a great invaluable reference. It is humbling to discover mistakes made in the past, this becomes my new timeless companion beside the keyboard.

....then you're not a writer, for this is THE concise classic of style written as a series of precepts. Some are outdated, but the book's own style will never be.

You can read this book in an hour, and everyone ought to do so. It is conservative, but you have to know the rules before you can break them with confidence.

If you're like me and a little self-conscious​ about your grammar skills. It's a good little book to brush up on what you ignored back in school.
