This is the first Sandra Brown novel I have read. I read it because it was #1 on a list of romances of the century. The hero in this story, Cash, is vulgar and unappealing. I could not relate to the romance of this novel because i found him so repulsive. For the majority of the book, the heroine, Schyler, is spineless and a bit of a door mat. I just could not relate to the characters. I will read more Sandra Brown, in the hopes that this one is not a reflection of all her work.
