Cat lovers with super noses rejoice! Unrivalled.

To be honest, I've been hesitant to leave a review because I'm afraid it might contribute to the price going back up...
This litter is perfect for us. I flush poo as soon as I know it's there and scoop pee every couple days. If that's your style this is the litter for you. It's also soooo much better to use for longhairs.
Here's the story:
When my cat was a kitten I had to keep her just in my bedroom, meaning the litter box wasn't far from my bed or where I kept my clothes. This was my go to.
I have a very sensitive sense of smell, so controlling odour was an absolute must. Everything has a smell.
You know that kinda dusty smelling litter scent? It gets in the air and sticks to textiles when you pour litter to fill the kitty box. Even perfectly clean unused clay litters have it. It always smells dirty. A problem with 'odour-absorbing' clumping litter is that small particles means more surface area, and (since the pieces that absorb just the vapour or whatever don't clump) even if they 'catch' the odour that would have lingered immediately after your cat pees, it will release some of it back into the air the next time your cat digs around.
Yesterday's News litter just smells like the morning newspaper. Ink and paper pulp.
I think it might just be that people with an especially acute sense of smell start associating the neutral scent of just regular litter with the unpleasant smell of cat urine/feces. The point is, if you use clumping litter, no matter how clean you keep it, there may be a litter box smell on you that is detectable to a super smeller, whereas the same person might just think you read the newspaper if they can smell anything at all.
You do have to understand the differences between clumping and non clumping litter. If you like to change the box and forget about it for a week this will not work for you. Non clumping is higher maintenance but it's worth it. You will need baking soda with this, but you don't need a litter mat. The odd pellet will escape the box but this isn't something that can be tracked around.
Clean kitties prefer it. When my cat uses clumping litter she shakes her paws and grooms herself frantically every time she goes to the bathroom. No such behaviour with 'Yesterday's News'. Using the litter box isn't unpleasant for her when it's filled with this stuff.
I am housebound by chronic illness so the delivery right to my door is especially appreciated.
