I have a number of Oster blades. My Goldendoodle tends to get very matted at the end of winter. These blades have done the best job so far. I have the exact same blade size 7 but not in Cryogen X material and so far it looks like indeed the Cryogen X makes a difference, indeed. Only time will tell, of course, but so far I am very happy with these blades. I am not giving 5 starts since I can't predict how they will perform over time, but definitely good blades.
This blade is not of the same high quality of the silver (chrome) Oster blades. The spring holding the moving cutting blade to the stationary blade is weak allowing the blade to lift letting undercoat hair to clog up the blade. May work on dogs without a woolly undercoat but not on my Cocker Spaniel. Returned and got a silver #7 Skip Tooth Oster blade.
