I'm definitely not in the majority here, but this movie just didn't do it for me. The same story as the first is remade, with a few new elements, but even the new elements aren't that good and treated with an absolute disrespect for the character. Stark's alcoholism is comical at best instead of being dramatic, his sickness is way too exaggerated for the impact it truly has on the rest of the story. The finale shows many armors, "Phantom Menace" comes to mind, but even more flat.

Robert Downey Jr. still delivers a worthy performance, the special effects are great, and even though Sam Rockwell plays a caricature, although he feels like he's enjoying himself quite a lot, which helps, but having Nick Fury to force the story to go forward doesn't make for a better storyline or a nice pacing.

At least, the second disc contains loads of great special features, because otherwise this set wouldn't be that interesting (for my tastes).

While I am uncertain how much goodies they packed into the BD/DVD combo, the movie itself is extremely disappointing. I had been expecting a great follow-up to a faithful adaptation of the story of Tony Stark and his venture to become the Iron Man.

The sequel however had shallow character development, turned Stark from a renewed man to his oldself for no good reason, the subtle romance between Tony and Pepper that added to the story was transformed into something terrible. The character whiplash was the main villain and for some reason was able to remain as durable as iron man in a full suit of armour is unbelievable even in a comic book universe. I was expecting a solid performance from Don as Col. Rhodes...I thought he was definitely a better Rhodes than the previous one but the interaction between him and Stark failed my expectations.

Nick Fury as head of S.H.E.I.L.D. got me really excited but no, he did NOTHING in the film. For a guy who is suppose to know everything that happens and looks closely at all the dangers that threatens America, he DID NOTHING!! Johanson as Scarlet Widow is also not a great choice. She doesn't even have a Russian accent!

Overall, I did not like the movie and this is one Blue Ray collection that I will skip!!
