Without a doubt the musical production and calibre of songs selected as the material to appear on ECHO surpass Leona's previous release SPIRIT.

With the release of ECHO, Leona is now officially worthy of being crowned the new DIVA of POP MUSIC, The key to ECHO is well crafted pop songs that suit the vocalist ~ not a track list of typically bland generic pop songs usually placed upon releases from ex "IDOL or X-FACTOR" contestants.

Her vocal styling is breathy and soothing while her musical range is acrobatic and dynamic.
The weakest link on this release is surprisingly the first track released to radio, Happy.

The CD contains a song list that will surely supply top 40 radio with a boundless supply of hits to dominate airwaves in 2010.

The songs BROKEN and LOVE LETTER sound as if it they were torn from the Kelly Clarkson &/or Pink musical catalogues and should be the next obvious singles released to radio.

"FLY HERE NOW" is one of the most haunting tracks on ECHO and would be unquestionably the perfect summer song for 2010 should it be released to radio at that point in time.

"OUTTA MY HEAD" is another great track strongly influenced by the UK's current musical infatuation with 80s electronic pop and could become a standard played in clubs.

"I GOT YOU" is a sure fire radio friendly pop-ballad. The ideal vehicle to enable the artist to further promote her vocal styling. It has a haunting hook and a great melody line.

The track "LOST THEN FOUND" with One Republic sounds musically inspired and influenced by the latest Kelly Clarkson release "ALREADY GONE" ~ this could be a massive global hit at radio and retail.

Overall ECHO delivers to Leona's fan base what they expected while it may convert certain unbelievers to embark upon the Leona train!

Very much worth purchasing! - Musically, it's worth your investment of time and money.

Leona Lewis had done amazing in this CD. The songs are catchy and shows her vocal quite nicely in different styles. If you like her voice, this CD is a keeper.

There is a hidden song on the last track so just keep on letting it play after "Lost and Found" is done. I don't know what this song is called though.

Yes, the moment has finally arrived. The most anticipated album of the year (for me) has surfaced. After 9 months of recording, Leona Lewis is ready to take on the world by storm again with her voice with her sophomore album ECHO. Her debut album SPIRIT sold over 6.5 million copies worldwide. With a feat like this, the pressure is definitely on for the songstress the second time around. From the demos that were leaked during summer, it is apparent that Leona wanted to do something different. With Spirit, the album was overwhelmed by big ballads and did not have enough edge for most young listeners today. In general, most criticized it for being very bland. For me, I am a ballad person so that was not a problem for me. Having said that, I feel that album had quite a few of fillers that I would tend to skip and rarely listen to. ECHO is without a doubt a BIG step up from her debut effort. ECHO is still ballad driven but it's not overwhelmed by bland ballads. There is that edge that was missing from SPIRIT's ballads. And of course there is the most talked about song OUTTA MY HEAD, an uptempo song that is very outside of Leona's comfort zone, which is Leona's way of telling the world she is not a one-trick pony. My general impression is that the album is well balanced, the song order flows very well (an often underestimated element of an album) and most importantly, Leona's vocal has improved and it shows in ECHO, from low notes to belted notes to head-voices and falsettos, she does all of them effortlessly.
