I wondered which one of the four I'd like best; It's probably An Affair to Remember because of the superb acting. Cary Grant hardly ever did better work than he did here, and Deborah Kerr is wonderful too. A Letter to Three Wives is a fine effort from Mankiewicz with excellent work from Kirk Douglas, Linda Darnell, Jeanne Crain and Paul Douglas. Excellent satire of life in a small town. Gene Tierney has murder on her mind in Leave Her to Heaven, an efficient noir. Finally Peyton Place shows Lana Turner's charms to good advantage, and Lloyd Nolan has a great cameo as an angry doctor.
I bought this DVD which has 4 good Classic movies on it. "An Affair to Remember" with Cary Grant and Deborah Kerr. "A letter to 3 Wives" with Jeanne Crain, Ann Sothern, Linda Darnell. "Leave her to Heaven" with Cornel Wilde and one of my favourite stars Gene Tierney, and "Peyton Place" with Lana Turner. She was not one of my favourite stars, but in some movies, including this one, her acting was good. All actors and actresses in this set perform well. Keep your hankie handy for parts of "An Affair to Remember". This quad collection has 4 good movies at a reasonable price. You don't see many good movies like this now. Worth buying and viewing.
