Great tasting, well packaged, we keep buying

Manitoba Harvest products have been staples in our pantry for years now. We find their hemp hearts to be tasty and quality has consistently been high. I like the fact that the company buys hemp products from Alberta farmers so in that way I help support local growers even though the company is located in Winnipeg Manitoba.
We've never received a bad batch, the kernels are always soft and have that nice nutty hemp flavour. The seeds are clean and no debris of any kind has been found in the pouches. The pouches themselves are a Mylar like product which keeps the inside sealed from moisture and also light both of which cause organic material to break down. There are several companies even on Amazon that sell hemp heart in cheap plastic bags. Most people don't realise that this is a bad thing. Plastic bags are made to hold out water but not moisture in the air! Yes, this is by design. The last thing you want is food that needs to stay dry or retain a certain moisture level to remain edible over a long period to be packed in regular plastic bags.
Yes, Manitoba Harvest product cost a few dollars more but anything that is high quality costs a little more. When you buy hemp hearts you’re not buying them like peanuts, you want a high quality product that retains its nutritional value for a long time. If you’re eating these you're most likely doing so to treat something or trying to avoid something so buy quality, buy Canadian!
