Very good value travel phone
on October 4, 2014
Very good value. I needed it for an international travel phone. SIM #1 for my Rogers line so that I don't miss calls or text messaging and SIM #2 for the roaming sim card : roam mobility for the US, or local sim for Europe, Asia etc. I used it recently for a trip to Taiwan and Hong Kong and it worked great. Calls, testing, and data all worked great. I got HSPA+ speed the whole trip. The battery is decent and was reliable for full work day of moderate to heavy use. If you're going to use it all day for work and then head out for the night you will need time to charge or a spare battery.
The build quality is decent, however the buttons for volume and power seem a little flimsy. Otherwise a decent looking phone. Screen quality is fine for a travel phone, but I noticed the lower quality as my daily driver is a Samsung Galaxy Note 3. Watching videos was again fine for travel. Software is pretty much stock android which is nice.
Lastly, the atennas seem to be fine on my device. Another reviewer claimed weak bluetooth and wifi, but I have not had the same experience.
I would try buying another Blu phone, eespecially if I need a good value dual sim smartphone. Hard to find anything that will compete on the spec : cost ratio.
