A Modern Classic Christmas Record

Christmas by Michael Buble is what I would certainly consider a modern classic Christmas recording, in both sound and feel of the collection overall and the massive commercial success that this holiday sales juggernaut has consistently pulled in annually since the album's 2011 release. My favourite songs are "It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas", "All I Want For Christmas is You" (an emotional cover of Mariah Carey's 1990's modern Christmas classic single of the same name), "Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas", "Silent Night", "I'll Be Home For Christmas", and "Ave Maria". These are standout tunes to me, but the album also sounds great/plays well when it is left on in the background during Holiday events and played in its entirety, because it does still have that balance.
I will note that Michael Buble recorded a Christmas EP released sometime before 2007, featuring "Let It Snow!" and "My Grown-Up Christmas List" among others, and I always loved that little collection and while it has been great to see Buble have the mega-hit that Christmas has become, I am always a bit disappointed and confused that the vast majority of those people likely never got to hear "Grown-Up Christmas List", because that song is about as close to testing if someone has a soul. Very lyrical, poignant, and the most flawless vocal execution of his career in terms of emoting the style and substance of the lyrics, it is a must-listen for fans and I can only assume it is a recording that has opened many doors for his subsequent touring success. A modern Canadian heartthrob, but the Adult Contemporary crooner version with a global hit album.

Not red OR green

Great album. Love his work and this is truly a heart warming record to listen to. But I did not get a red or green record. I got the standard black!
I was extremely disappointed when I opened up the package to find it black. Part of the reason I bought this was because of that unique feature, and I was excited to receive either color. False advertising on Amazon's behalf.

I've been a Bublé fan since he first posted on MySpace and this album didn't disappoint as far as his Christmas collection is concerned. With musical stylings that range from contemporary to New Orleans jazz, this is the album we played while opening gifts and enjoying a leisurely Christmas breakfast. I knocked off a star because the album had skips in the first 2 tracks on side A, and a skip in track 3, side B. Replaying the album seemed to have taken care of side A, but side B still has a quarter second skip, which is annoying but not worth the hassle of arranging for a refund and reorder.

I absolutely love this album. I've been listening to it digitally every Christmas since it came out, but this year I decided I should pull the trigger on the vinyl (since it was on sale). I got the red vinyl, which is fine - kinda neat that you don't know whether you got the red or the green until you open the package. The pressing itself is nice, heavy, and comes in a plastic-lined paper inner sleeve. No warps to be found, which is (sadly) rare for new vinyl these days, so I'm pretty happy about that.
All in all, a fantastic purchase for anyone with a turntable who enjoys Christmas music.

First let me say I Love Michael Buble, and I love that this album is made up of all the Christmas Classics.
His choice of singers for his duets is perfect. This CD has been played over and over all Christmas week.

Love Michael Buble's music. This deluxe Christmas album is great! Such a talented artist. So Glad I ordered this before they are sold out before Christmas. Will be ordering more of his albums in the new year. This album is sure to please. I am enjoying this and the other Christmas albums all month long instead of just for the Christmas week. Well worth the investment .

A nice selection of Christmas songs. A great voice and excellent song arrangements. Would recomend if you are sick of the same ten songs every mall and radio station plays until your ears bleed.

Was excited to listen to this album but when I received it it was damaged. First time listening to the record and it was quite heavily scratched which messed with the sound quality, as well as bent unevenly (possibly a shipping issue?). It appears to be pre-owned however can’t confirm that as it wasn’t mentioned anywhere.
