One of the truly great albums from the early nineties. The depth on this record varies slightly from track to track but is very good for the most part the bass drum pounds away nicely. The upper end detail however is a little weak and hard to hear at times. The dynamics also vary form song to song with some of the songs being over compressed. I believe there is actually more compression on the vinyl than the original CD I have but because the vinyl has more depth it still sounds a touch better in my opinion with a tad more warmth although the tone is still a little on the cool side. The vinyl itself does have some surface noise here and there but for the most part is not too distracting.
Nicely remastered record. Universal, has done a good job on Tom Cochrane's, Mad, Mad World' album. I understand, that others have bought lesser incarnations of this album; but this delivers the goods. Cheers!
