The Cole's Notes of the Bible. A great read.

Mark Russell's God Is Disappointed in You is the bible that everyone should read. If you have ever wondered what the Bible really says but don't want to take the time needed to read it all, then this book is for you. Let me be clear, this is a retelling of the bible in today's English with humor and cartoons to drive home the point. Each chapter is a book from the Bible in proper order as it appears in the bible. Each chapter is only a few pages long and briefly explains what happens, the important content, and the chronology that is found in the real books. Of course this book doesn't sugar coat anything. The faithful may find this disturbing, but this book just gives the facts about what is contained in the bible without trying to make it look better than what it is. Consider this a "Cole's Notes for the Holy Bible" if you will. The humor is never done to ridicule or make fun of the subject matter, but rather to try and make the uncomfortable parts of the bible more bearable. Some books like Psalms is done as a "Greatest Hits Collection As Seen on TV" advertisement or other methods to get across the important points without going on and on.
