Probably the most Canadian movie ever made - extremely funny.

This is basically the most Canadian movie ever made. The original Bon Cop, Bad Cop was OK but not outstanding, but the sequel is absolutely hilarious. I watched it on an airplane and was actually giggling out loud. Then tried to buy it at Best Buy only to find it's sold out (and rightly so). Have now ordered 2 copies from Amazon, one for me and one for a friend. I'm not sure if non-Canadians would appreciate this movie, but it's pretty much peak Canadian humour. From the basic premise (anglo Ontario cop forced to work with francophone Quebec cop) to the way each insist on speaking his own language (even though both are completely bilingual) so the entire movie is subtitled all the way through, either in English when French is being spoken or vice versa, to the mockery made of the US police and FBI. I found it a delight from start to finish.
Notes: (1) you don't need to watch the first movie before this one, though you'll understand the characters' histories a bit better, but it's not needed. And (2) there is quite a bit of swearing, particularly in French, which is mainly for comedy and emphasis but probably a bit crude for kids.
