So frustrating. Badly needs a difficulty setting.

I don't mind a challenge, and I admit many games hold your hand too much making it too easy, but this game is ridiculous. I would rather be able to set a difficulty level so I can at least grasp the subtly of the combat mechanics, and then increase difficulty as I see fit, rather than dying 500 times just so I can learn the millisecond window for effective deflecting and attacking. There are many styles of gamers, some want more of an adventure, some want intense skilled combat, some want a mix, what exactly is the problem with allowing the user (who has paid $80+) to customize the game for their style a little bit?
