I am getting rather tired of Mr. Wickham, but in this case, maybe he unwittingly brought two people together. Mr. Darcy was in the middle of being rejected by Elizabeth when all help broke lose. Kidnappings, becoming shipwrecked, begging for food after escaping from the sea, Darcy and Elizabeth, and unfortunately, Wickham, had to travel together to get home. It's great how Elizabeth finally sees what Wickham is for herself. Her opinion of Darcy through that crisis also helped open her eyes. Wickham was ever a jerk. I like the way the authors handled the miscreant in the end. It was a fun adventure. Georgiana was still blind to the faults of Wickham. I wish that had been resolved better. I am sure it was, but still I hated the animosity she had of Elizabeth trying to enlighten her to his wicked ways. Best book yet by these two writers!
This was a thoroughly entertaining version of Elizabeth and Darcy's story. I loved the way Darcy's, Wickham's, and Elizabeth's characters were developed, as well as the different plot lines. Everyone seemed so much more real and completely relatable.
