I absolutely loved this story. It had me tearing up and feeling so deeply. I felt every emotion the characters felt. Fantastic writing. The only thing that stopped me from giving it 5 stars was how the author concluded their story. They gave so much detail building up their growth, and then just fixed the conflict in less than a chapter. It just felt unfinished with the amount of detail that went into the rest of the story. Otherwise, loved it!
This book is very similar to the movie "life as we know it" starring Katherine Heigl and Josh Duhamel.. they hate each other but are forced to live together for the sake of their goddaughter. It was cute but it was not a page turner for me. I couldn't really connect with Molly's character. There were quite a few grammatical errors that just stopped the flow.. I would have to reread the sentence to figure out what the authors were trying to say. This book should have been proof read better.. the timeline is all wrong.. Brandon and Amelia died..a few weeks later they are looking for a house and moving in..then a month later they have sex.. then it says it has been a few weeks since they had sex but when they talk about Brandon they said it's been a month since he passed away?? It makes no sense whatsoever.
I absolutely loved this book and was honored to have been able to read and review. It was such a phenomenal read and had amazing characters as well as an amazing story line. I just could not get enough of it and once I started reading it I could not put it down. I recommend that you read it. "I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book."
Unexpected Gift was such an amazing story. Tragedy and loss brought 2 people together who always fought each other every step of the way till they had a baby to take care of and brought them closer together in an unexpected way. I highly recommend this book
