All right, this massager is the bee's knees. I've been collecting massage tools all year for self-care purposes as I'm a single mom and I need more self-care. I'm also an energy worker, and I can literally feel energy blockages move in my body when I get a good massage by these tools. no need for a practitioner, because some of these things can really help. This thing is pretty massive and heavy. The top part you can remove and take on the go since it is chargeable, but the main part will not work without plugging it into an outlet. I tried it sitting on the floor against the wall, sitting on my bed, and also in a recliner. Sitting in a recliner was the best when I was laying back as it felt like I was in a real massage chair. I used to go to the mall a few times a month while my son would play in a bounce house, and I would pay a pretty penny to sit in a massage chair for an hour while he played. It was something I looked forward to, but then when they shut the world down we haven't been able to do it since March which has been really sad. Well, I got my son a trampoline for inside the house and I got this for myself lol. There are numerous settings, and you just have to play around with it to see which ones you like best or what areas of your body need extra work. You can focus on the upper or lower part or do a full-on session. You also have heat options if you want that. The removable neck massager works well and has a decent charge to it. I noticed the neck massage option on the remote wouldn't light up a few times when it was all installed, but I got it to work after removing the neck massaging piece and putting it back on a few times. For some reason there wasn't a good connection after I put it back on. It will take some testing to find the perfect placement of the neck massager part since it's adjustable if you need it higher or lower. The directions are informative, and I suggest you read them fully. It also says not to use this massager more than 15 minutes at a time which could add additional stress to the unit. It does automatically shut off after a certain amount of time as well. I like that there's a strap to fold up the seat part for storage purposes if you want to put it in a closet. I can honestly say this is my favorite massager to date since it's incredibly close to the mall chair experience with the exception of having your legs worked on. Overall, this is an amazing, self-care unit and I recommend it to de-stress and pamper yourself because we all deserve it after what we've been through this year and prior.

I'm starting to become the lord of massage items, curiously, and I recently was exposed to a massage chair similar to this in the $75 price range. I liked it but wow, is this a step above that one!
Pros *No cord on the top section. My last one had a cord and it was too short. The rechargable ability frees you and lets you take this to your bed, sofa, chair, car, etc. It's a huge step up! Part of it is corded, however. *Detachable parts. You can use just one or both.
Cons *The biggest con for me is where do you store this thing. My space is limited, but if you have that worked out, this is no con at all.
Oh what relief it is!!!! My new favorite massager. At the end of the day I need a good massager to relieve my upper and lower back pain...and this massager does all the work. So many options to choose from!
I can take off the neck piece and use it separately. It can be cordless if I need it to be. So amazing.
It's recommended by the manufacture to unplug if not in use and to only use for fifteen minutes at a time. I highly recommend reading the instructions.
Battery life is so-so, but this is mostly for keeping plugged in. Overall, 4.5 stars that gets rounded up to 5.

HoMedics® 2-in-1 Shiatsu Massage Cushion and Cordless Body Massager, Removable Cordless Massage Pillow, Heat and Vibrating Massage Pad for Home or Office, Full Body Massage with Adjustable Settings
If you're like me, you have all kinds of different massagers hanging around. I have a shiatsu neck massager, one that can be positioned over various locations of the back, a TENS device, and a couple of TENS type neck massagers. This one device does what most of them do.
This HoMedics massager gives a bunch of different massages. There's a full back/neck shiatsu massage. The back portion can also be set to a rolling massage and the width of the massage heads can be customized for my individual needs. The back moves the massage heads up and down the back at two different speeds that are user adjustable. There's also heat for the neck part and the back part, and a pretty strong, adjustable vibration for the back portion. It's strong enough to feel productive, yet not so strong that it gets uncomfortable over time. Overall, this is a very well thought out massager.
To test it, I set it up on my work chair so that I could get a little massage when my back gets sore during work. The elastic straps that are used to hold the seat portion of it to the body for travel can be reversed to secure it to the chair. My chair is quite large and the straps stretched nicely and fastened securely with velcro. The massager is not going anywhere. Sitting on it did take a bit of getting used to and I still haven't decided if I am going to leave it permanently attached. It is not uncomfortable to always have it on the chair but it does raise my sitting position by the height of the seat, or by somewhere between an extra 1 - 1.5 inches. It does have the added benefit of forcing me to sit up straight and my mother would be proud to know that I am finally sitting up straight. The control is wired and goes into a nifty little pocket on the right side of the seat. It's easy to store it out of the way and to get to it when it's needed. The remote is well assembled and the buttons respond with a nice click. From the remote, everything can be turned on and off, and adjusted as needed. The detachable massage pillow has separate on/off switch and heat switches on it but as long as the pillow is attached to the main massager, it too can be controlled by the remote. The power button, though it does work while attached to the main massager, is not needed unless it is detached. I have enjoyed using this a lot since getting it. I sometimes work long hours and it's great to be able to turn the massager on and help ease my back pain whenever I want. The detachable massage pillow is an added bonus. It's wireless and I can take it anywhere I want. I like using it when I'm sitting on the couch, watching TV. It can be positioned in any area of the back. With just power and heat buttons, it is very easy to use.
Additional considerations: • Only the pillow is battery powered. This is not clear from the instructions or the product information and I did think that it was fully wireless. If it is not plugged in, the control pad will not work. • Pressing the power button on the pillow will apply enough force to push the pillow down. If you've carefully positioned the neck massager pillow to get the optimum massage while using the back massager, not holding on to the pillow while pressing the on button will undo that adjustment. Of course there's no reason to use that power button while it's connected to the back massager, but it can be done. • While sitting on the back massager with the neck massager attached, the neck massager doesn't work very well for me. Perhaps it is because of the shape of my chair, but I can't really feel it working unless I lean into it. • The instruction manual isn't really all that well done. It seems like a thick manual, but it is in English, Spanish, and French. It does cover information on all of the functions of the remote, which is good. Part of the fun of this is a playing around with it to get the best benefit from it. • Before using it, there is a screw on the back that must be removed. It's pretty difficult to miss it. The warning is pretty dire though - not removing the screw before using it can permanently damage the massager. There is even a little hex wrench included to remove and discard the screw. The instructions are explicit about not replacing the screw. It's difficult to miss. Don't get excited, just plug it in, and try to use it without reading the instructions and removing the screw, or your nice new massager will become an expensive door stop pretty quickly.
Anyway, this is a great massager. It does a good job of digging into my back and working out any knots that I have. I really like that it is both a rolling massager and a shiatsu massager. This really has it all and gives a great massage.
