Texture, hope and Warmth in Carol's King-dom

This album is my favourite gem on Ms. King's remarkable and precious crown of majestic songs. Carol King composed and recorded some of the greatest and most memorable songs of her era in a genre she led for decades. Tapestry gave texture and warmth to an era entrenched poltical and social turmoil, soothing-yet-challenging listeners to rise out of despair and conquer their fears.

The studio recordings on this disc seem to lack treble. Her voice on the last track (recorded live) is how I expected her voice to sound for all tracks. Still, great artist and great songs. Can't complain too much.

I Loved this Album Tapestry by Carole King in the 70's & I Love Love this cd Tapestry, I listen to it all the time. I am proud to have it in my cd collection. I Love - I feel the earth move, So far away, etc., Smackwater Jack, ok I Love every song on the cd. I highly recommend this cd to you. Go & remember the good old days & buy this cd by Carole King & enjoy!...

Always loved my vinyl copy of this album and realized I was never going to get around to transferring the music to digital, so I finally purchased the cd because the price was right. Now I can finally enjoy one of Carole's best albums of all time. She really is one of the greatest female musicians of all time.

It's a classic! I loved it when I bought it on an album, I loved it when I copied it to my cassette until the recorder destroyed it, and I love it on CD!

I was fourteen years old when Tapestry was released in 1971. It was my first year of high school, life seemed bigger to me than it ever had, and such musicians as: Cat Stevens, Three Dog Night, James Taylor and Carole King were in the background singing the soundtrack of my life. I am now 53 years old and I still enjoy this CD immensely. Not only does it bring back really great memories of my youth, but it is just a great CD. From the opening piano chords of I Feel The Earth Move, to the hits It's Too Late and Smackwater Jack, to her slowed down versions Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow and You Make Me Feel Like A Natural Woman, King has proven this soft rock masterpiece has stood the test of time. Almost 40 years later Tapestry is still a wonderful listening experience.

Carol King was my idol when I was in my twenties. I saw her perfom this album just a few weeks ago on my local PBS station - she has gotten older but the memories remain eternal!
