"immensely enjoyable"—ForeWord Clarion Reviews

"a fantastic book that has enchanted me"—Amazon Customer Review

"We are in love with this book! [...] As an artist, I love love LOVE the art in this book, I think its not only beautiful, but perfect for children. My son spent a lot of time just studying every colorful page. We read it twice in the first sitting because he was so happy! He's not yet 1, so getting him to sit still for story time is tough, and this book was such a hit he sat through it with nothing but a big smile and lots of pointing to the stuff he liked on the pages. I highly recommend this book :) Get it get it get it!""—Amazon Customer Review

"Written in a very simple way but with a profound message for both adults and kids."—Amazon Customer Review

"I LOVED it. Lots of repetition to help 'lil ones get used to structure and words! Many different words being used to help them improve their vocabulary (or pick the best word!). Most importantly, it sends a good message about how being unique and different is good. I STRONGLY suggest you check this book out!"—ESLCarissa.blogspot.com

"readers will emerge from this book feeling slightly more confident about themselves—whatever their size."—ForeWord Clarion Reviews

HASH(0x9b0e78d0) out of 5 stars Near perfect Sept. 29 2015

Gorgeous pictures, great story. Nice and repetitive for little kids. A girl is called 'small' by the narrator and she, shocked, goes around asking all kinds of fantastical creatures (the illustrations really are fascinating) whether she is small. They all give various answers depending on their own size (e.g. the Moon thinks she's minuscule and the ladybird thinks she's huge). Then she realises that actually she's everything and she's just right. A good message cunningly delivered.
The only gripe I have is that the English translation isn't quite perfect - the sizes should get smaller and smaller and then bigger and bigger but 'teeny-weeny' is listed before 'tiny'. Of course this isn't a problem if you're just reading the Tamil. And also the font is smaller and bigger depending on what creature is talking. This is fine, but the smallest animals have script that would be a little small for some people to read.
This is probably my toddler's favourite Hindi book, he makes me read it over and over and over.

HASH(0x9b088654) out of 5 stars great concept, poor execution Sept. 19 2014

We've read this just a couple times and haven't pulled it off the bookshelf since. First of all, we have a 1.5 year old and the book is tall, thin, and the pages bend easily. Second, while the illustrations are great, the text is just hard to read. The various text placement & font sizing keeps the reader confused.
It would probably be a fun read after you figure out the book and have the words memorized (not hard to do). But my son isn't interested in contents of the book so I can't really say.
